Foundation Mission Statement:

Economic stability begins at birth; it is a lifelong learning experience.

CAMHP’s mission resides at the crossroads of these two connected statements. Using research conducted through person-to-person interactions, we explore social resolutions which empower the individual and, in turn, nourish the communities in which we live. Our goal is to create tools and provide resources that support the demands of economic rigor. Economic rigor is a term we believe defines the economic environment that requires personal courage and endurance to effectively evaluate, develop, and manage personal finances over time.

Our research is focused on the ways in which relative economic stability occurs for people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. We seek to understand how individuals are shaped, informed, and sustained in their socioeconomic position within government systems. We are working to foster meaningful conversations that will enable everyone to understand the dynamics of relative economic stability and that it is part of one’s psychological development. To create and maintain a standard of living that is personally beneficial requires emotional wellbeing that begins at birth. Relative economic stability is a personal state, incomparable to anyone elses, and requires that we have compassion for one anothers successes and limitations.
